And this year’s useless Crankycon endorsement for the GOP primary in the 8th district of Maryland in the race to be the guy to lose to Chris Van Hollen in November goes to Steve Hudson.  Hudson is pro-life and opposes timetables for withdrawal in Iraq.  His main opponent, Bruce Stern, is a pro-abort who wants to start taking our troops out.  Easy choice for the crankycon.

Hudson only has to close a $1,992,828 to $14,198 cash-on-hand disadvantage against Van Hollen in the next nine months.  Time to get to work.

As for the presidential election, Mike Huckabee’s pair of wins over the weekend gives me pause, but I still think that McCain is a safe bet to win the state.  So, my plan to cast a vote for Thompson remains in place for the moment.  But the prospect – albiet slim – of a Huckabee nomination just might convince me to vote for John McCain.  Imagine that.

    Hi!

Thanks for the endorsement! I know the fundraising margin is huge. That is why I’m asking for your help! We’re having our first major fundraiser on March 25th, Maryland Day. Can you help us get the word out? Were inviting everyone to go to our website at http://www.stevehudson2008.com and contribute at least $25 on March 25th, and then email 10 of their friends inviting them to do the same. Please help!!!! Need your assistance!

    Sincerely,

    Steve Hudson
