Lying liars

I believe there should be a rather hot space reserved for people who lie about being the victims of crime. It turns out Miss Ashley Todd completely made up her story about being attacked by an Obama supporter. This is why I usually don’t post such stories until they’re confirmed. Silly me, I thought I’d take this person at face value. Well, no. I guess the reason the story seemed fishy was because it was in fact a complete crock.
This story comes on the heels of the news that Crystal Mangum, the woman who falsely accused the Duke lacrosse players of rape, is coming out with a book maintaining that they really did it. Sure.
I know people who have been assaulted and who have been raped, and therefore I find these particular woman to be that much more repellant. These liars make it that much tougher on the women who are legitimately the victims of violent crime. One does not want to believe that anybody would lie about such a thing, but unfortunately there are such people.
Anyway, my apologies for putting up the story in the first place.
