Military recruiter shot and killed in Arkansas
June 1, 2009 | 2 Comments
One Army recruiter was killed Monday and a second was wounded in a shooting at a recruiting office, and a suspect was arrested, police said.
Police Lt. Terry Hastings said the recruiter was shot when a man in a black SUV opened fire on the office in west Little Rock at about 10:30 a.m.
The vehicle was stopped on Interstate 630 a short time later and a suspect was taken into custody. Hastings said the suspect pulled over and surrendered without incident.
Police said they found an assault rifle in the vehicle.
Hastings said he did not know whether the recruiting office was specifically targeted or was randomly chosen.
It’s useless to speculate on motivations at this point, but I will go out and a limb and guess that this is completely unrelated to Tiller’s murder, as some Hot Air commenters insinuated. Disturbing and tragic, nonetheless.

Agree that this senseless act was unrelated to Tiller’s murder other than both being murdered. However, it is somewhat odd choice by our president to announce that he was shocked and outraged by one of the two crimes. His choice of which murder “shocks and outrages” him out of the hundreds committed since his inauguration says a lot about him and his priorities.
Just tell me Arkansas has the Death Penalty. . .
