Enlightened statesmen will not always be at the helm. – James Madison.
You sure got that one right, Jim.
North and South Vietnam? What?
Ace posits a theory:
Does Sheila Jackson-Lee’s knowledge of the Vietnam War (and its aftermath) come from The Watchmen?

I think this deserves a double face palm. So glad that she didn’t represent me when I grew up in Houston.
If she *had* gotten her history from Watchmen that would have been sweet. Five terms for Nixon, with Reagan running as his successor in 1998!
Alternate Joke: At least she doesn’t think Guam is about to capsize.
What complete idiots are thrust into positions of power by feckless voters.
Wow…just wow!
Here is the secondary punchline: She has been on the Foreign Affairs Committee and the South Asia Subcommittee for years. Ouch!
A little more on this moron, liberals often cry disenfranchisement when attempts are made to limit voting fraud. Well, in 2004 she actually voted to disenfranchise me. She was part of the group that voted to not count Ohio’s electoral votes.
Here is a laugh. Fellow Texan Harriet Miers was rejected partly because some were dismissive of her non-Ivy league education background and lack of judicial experience. Well, this congresscritter is a Yale grad and a former judge.
Like yours truly, Congresscritter Jackson-Lee got one of them there highly prized UVA Law degrees that Chris Matthews assures us is evidence of “someone who is well educated”:

And to leave before the job has been completed we could have another Somalia. How in the hell does this empty head (Ms Jackson) make the comparison that the efforts in the Middle East are like Vietnam?
This argument is so dead I’d bet she had to do DNA testing to validate her use of it.
