In which we say goodbye

All good things must come to an end, and so do all not-so-good things. Hopefully this blog has been the former.
You might consider this a hiatus – perhaps it will only be a few months, or maybe a few years. But for now I am done with the blog. It’s nothing serious. Long story short, I just don’t have the time to adequately devote to the blog anymore. Maybe I’ll change my mind down the road, but for now, c’est le fin.
I don’t really want to write some weepy, extended post saying goodbye. For many of you, I will just be seeing you in different forums. I am not completely abandoning blogging – I’m still blogging at Almost Chosen People, where hopefully I’ll finally complete that Federalist Papers series. I might also pop up in various comment boxes from time-to-time.
I have made many friends through the blogosphere. We will continue to stay in touch. I appreciate everybody who has read this little blog of mine, one which has been relatively successful, at least by small blog standards. It’s nice to know someone out there appreciated my rantings.

I’ll miss the Cranky Conservative Paul. You provided some of the sharpest observations on contemporary follies on the net, and that is not hyperbole on my part.

CC — Whether on sports, politics, religion, wrestling, or pretty much any topic in between, your blogging has always been insightful and entertaining…even the Monday rants! I’ve enjoyed your opinions over the years and also the frequent debate they were known to produce in the comments below. And who knows? There’s still time and forums for you to come around to the merits of Thomas Jefferson and Gordon Liddy!

All the best going forward. Hey, for most of us blogging is a hobby and like with any hobby there are times where real life concerns take precedence as they should. Heck, I have several unopened boxes of baseball cards from the 1980′s still to sort through. Appreciated your even tempered well thought out positions on politics, religion and sports.

So I get back from vacation anxious to read your insights into all that I missed while I was gone and find this instead? You should have at least waited until after the November elections were over.
Hate to see you go, Paul. But I definitely understand. I’ve cut back considerably on my blogging over the past year, and doubt I’ll do much more than 1 or 2 posts a week for the foreseeable future.
